Nebraska's much-anticipated alternate uniform, complete with a black helmet, has been unveiled.

Adidas AG posted a video of the uniform on YouTube. Nebraska coach Bo Pelini confirmed Friday the video showed the uniforms the Cornhuskers would wear for the September 29th home game against Wisconsin themed "The Quick and the Red."

The Huskers have long been known for their home red jerseys, white pants and white helmet with the block "N." They'll wear red pants and red jerseys against the Badgers. A big black block "N'' will be on the front of the jerseys with smaller black numbers over the left breast. "Huskers" will be written across the back rather than players' last names. The team's defining red "N'' remains, but is stamped on a black helmet.

Next week, the Badgers will unveil the new TECHFIT uniforms they’ll wear against Nebraska.
