The Big Ten Conference announced the start times for this year’s Homecoming games on Thursday. Nebraska’s Homecoming matchup with Illinois will kickoff at 11 a.m. (Central) on Saturday, Oct. 5, with television to be announced at a later date.
The Huskers’ season opener against Wyoming on Aug. 31 will kick off at 7 p.m. CT, and NU’s home game against Southern Miss on Sept. 7 is set for a 5 p.m. CT start.
With sole possession of second place in the Big Ten Conference up for grabs, the Nebraska baseball team was unable to deliver a win on Monday afternoon at Hawks Field, as the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers (36-9, 13-5 Big Ten) took the three-game series with a 10-2 victory.
The Nebraska volleyball program has lost another player. Coach John Cook announced Monday night that rising sophomore Alexa Strange is returning to her home state of California and will focus on playing beach volleyball.
