Bases-Loaded Walk Gives OSU A Walk-Off Win Over Huskers

Bryan Peters tied the game with a two-out single in the top of the ninth, but a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth gave Ohio State a 3-2 walk-off victory over Nebraska in the winner’s bracket of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday afternoon in Minneapolis.

NU-Illinois Kickoff at 11:00AM

The Big Ten Conference announced the start times for this year’s Homecoming games on Thursday. Nebraska’s Homecoming matchup with Illinois will kickoff at 11 a.m. (Central) on Saturday, Oct. 5, with television to be announced at a later date.

Huskers Reign In Lincoln Regional, Stop Stanford 10-5

Nebraska fought through three weather delays and a tough Stanford squad to win its first regional softball championship since 2002 with a 10-5 victory over the Cardinal in the NCAA Lincoln Regional championship game Sunday afternoon at Bowlin Stadium.

Kickoff Times Set for Nebraska Games

The Huskers’ season opener against Wyoming on Aug. 31 will kick off at 7 p.m. CT, and NU’s home game against Southern Miss on Sept. 7 is set for a 5 p.m. CT start.

Indiana Defeats Nebraska 10-2

With sole possession of second place in the Big Ten Conference up for grabs, the Nebraska baseball team was unable to deliver a win on Monday afternoon at Hawks Field, as the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers (36-9, 13-5 Big Ten) took the three-game series with a 10-2 victory.

Huskers Lose Volleyball Player

The Nebraska volleyball program has lost another player. Coach John Cook announced Monday night that rising sophomore Alexa Strange is returning to her home state of California and will focus on playing beach volleyball.
