The Creighton women didn't fare any better at Wichita State than the men did earlier, losing to the Shockers 67-45 Saturday night.

It was the Bluejays (12-4, 4-1 MVC) first conference loss of the season. Wichita State improved to 10-6 and 4-0 in the MVC.

The Bluejays got off to a fast start, opening the game on an 11-0 run in the opening 3:26. The Shockers then outscored CU 28-13 over the ensuing 16:34 to take a 28-24 into halftime. WSU forced Creighton into 12 first-half turnovers, leading to 13 of their 28 points.

Wichita State maintained its defensive pressure in the second half, forcing another 10 turnovers and limiting Creighton's bench to just three points.

Sarah Nelson lead Creighton with 17 points. Ally Jensen added 10 points and eight rebounds. Wichita State was led by a game-high 20 points from Alex Harden and a career-best 16 points from Jasmine Jones.
