After posting a 4-0 win in game one of the Nebraska Red-White Series, the White team captured a series win on Wednesday afternoon following a 9-7 victory in game two at Hawks Field.
After getting behind 4-2, the White squad used a five-run third inning to take the lead for good in the six-inning game. Ty Kildow, Pat Kelly and Austin Christensen each had two hits on the day for the White squad with Kelly adding two RBIs.
The Red team was led by Blake Headley, who was 2-for-3 on the afternoon with a double. The Red’s Bryan Peters led off the game with a double and the White’s Corey Stinger also notched a double.
The three-game Red-White Series concludes with a 6 p.m. game Thursday at Hawks Field.
