Omaha Westside captured its sixth state baseball title on Thursday at Werner Park. Sophomore pitcher Mike Waldron led the Warriors to an 8-0 victory. Waldron allowed just six hits and struck out six batters.
Westside junior Devin Stueck led the Warriors at the plate with three hits. Westside scored five runs in the first inning to take a commanding lead.
Westside head coach Bob Greco and the Warriors finished with a record of 25-6. Millard South ended the year with a record of 17-8.
