The Omaha Storm Chasers have been selected to host the 28th annual Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game to be held during the week of July 12-15, 2015.
The game will take place at Werner Park and will include several days of events and activities. “We have been working to land the 2015 Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game for three years,” said Martie Cordaro, president and general manager of the Storm Chasers. “We knew we had the organization and facilities that were second-to-none and we wanted the opportunity to show all of Triple-A Minor League Baseball just what Omaha, Werner Park and the Storm Chasers could offer.”
The Triple-A All-Star Game has showcased many future major league stars on the day following Major League Baseball's All-Star Game. This summer’s game is scheduled to be held in Durham, North Carolina on July 16th.
“Minor League Baseball has hosted the Triple-A All-Star Game since 1988, but never before has it been held in Omaha,” said Gary Green, principal owner and CEO of the Storm Chasers. “We are thrilled that will change in 2015 when all of minor league baseball, players and executives from the International League and the Pacific Coast League, will be introduced to the city, its great baseball fans and enjoy the hospitality of Werner Park.”
Storm Chasers’ ticket package holders (season ticket, half-season or mini-plan) will be given the first opportunity to purchase tickets. Non-season ticket holders may join a “wait list” by registering online at omahastormchasers.com/ASG15 or by calling the First National Bank Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game hotline at 402-738-5133. Dates for ticket sales will be announced in the future.
The game will be broadcast on the MLB Network.
