Waterloo's Justin Kloos had five assists, J.T. Stenglein had a goal and three assists and Mike Huntebrinker, Zach Stepan and Ryan Papa each scored twice in an 8-1 rout of the Lancers Saturday night at Ralston Arena.
The loss snapped Omaha’s five-game winning streak.
The Black Hawks took a 1-0 lead on Huntebrinker's power play goal at 8:46 of the first period. The Lancers tied it just over a minute later when Matt Gaudreau put in his fourth of the season from just atop the goal crease. Waterloo regained the lead just over four minutes later on Stepan's 18th goal of the year.
It was all Black Hawks the rest of the way with three goals in the second and three more in the third period. Cole Bruns took over for Alex Lyon in the Omaha net for the third period.
