The United Football League has pushed back the start of its fourth season by one week.
The Virginia Destroyers now visit the Las Vegas Locomotives on September 26th. The Omaha Nighthawks open on the road against the Sacramento Mountain Lions on September 28th. Each team is scheduled to play eight games, all televised by the CBS Sports Network.
Spokesman Larry Weisman said Thursday the UFL needed more time to prepare for the season. The Nighthawks had not finalized a lease at TD Ameritrade Park as of Wednesday.
