Tribute To Tom Osborne

He is undoubtedly the most recognizable man in Nebraska, but don't think for a second that Dr. Tom Osborne is slowing down. Saturday night, hundreds attended a tribute dinner in his honor at CenturyLink Center Omaha.

Old competitors were there, including former Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer. Johnny Rogers also paid tribute to the man he said has gone from coach to dear friend.

Although Osborne has stepped down as Husker athletic director, he still has a few projects to work on, including his Teammates program and research into sports injuries. "Part of that research area will be two very large MRI magnets that will be used for extensive research on concussions."

Former NU defensive coordinator Charlie McBride said one of Osborne's secret talents was the ability to drive very fast.
