No one will forget Jack Hoffman, the 7-year-old pediatric brain cancer patient who ran for a 69-yard touchdown during the 2013 Nebraska spring football game. That inspiring moment went on to win the “Best Sports Moment” at the ESPY Awards. Now, the foundation that bears his name is hosting an auction to raise money to help find a cure for pediatric brain cancer.
The auction/fundraiser takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 26th at the Community Center in Atkinson, Nebraska, west of O'Neill. The auction will be available live online via Proxibid at TeamJackFoundation.Proxibid.com. To participate, click on the “start bidding” button.
Featured items in this auction include a televised trophy white tail hunt with Team Jack and Gobble ‘n Grunt industry pros, a Jack Hoffman Upper Deck gold card, a Remington 870 high-glossed shotgun autographed by former Husker coach Tom Osborne, a sky box ticket package for two with a two-night stay at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln and an officially licensed NFL Riddell mini-helmet autographed by former Husker and NFL star Roger Craig.
