Christian Colon had three hits and drove in three runs while Chris Dwyer went eight innings in a 5-1 Storm Chaser win over Tucson Thursday night at Werner Park.
Willy Taveras singled to open the third inning and Paulo Orlando reached on a bunt single. Irving Falu sacrificed the runners over to second and third and Colon singled them in with Colon taking second on the throw. After Johnny Giavotella flied out to left and Max Ramirez walked, Xavier Nady singled home Colon to give Omaha a 3-0 lead.
Rene Rivera doubled and later scored on a Jonathan Galvez single in the fourth to cut the lead to 3-1.
In the sixth, Anthony Seratelli doubled and advanced to third on a Brett Hayes ground out to first. With Taveras batting, a wild pitch by Sean O'Sullivan (3-3) allowed Seratelli to score.
In the seventh, Orlando singled and was again sacrificed to second by Falu. Colon then hit a ground-rule double down the right-field line that plated Orlando to make it 5-1.
Dwyer (4-2) surrendered six hits, striking out six and walking three.
