The Storm Chasers returned to Werner Park Thursday night and defeated Las Vegas 5-4.
Irving Falu tripled to open the home first and later scored on Johnny Giavotella's ground out to third. Singles by Andrew Brown, Wilmer Flores and Eric Campbell tied it in the second. The 51s then took a 3-1 lead in the third.
Omaha got a run back in the fourth on Paulo Orlando's bases-loaded single. The Chasers went up 4-3 in the fifth. Christian Colon singled and Giavotella doubled to put runners at second and third. A sac fly by Max Ramirez plated Colon. After Xavier Nady popped out to shortstop Brandon Hicks, Anthony Seratelli singled in Giavotella.
Omaha made it 5-3 in the eighth as Seratelli doubled, stole third and came home on Chad Tracy's ground out to first. Las Vegas scored a run in the ninth on a Brown triple and a Flores ground out to short.
Justin Marks (1-2) went five innings for the win, striking out seven, walking five and surrendering three runs on eight hits. D.J. Mitchell (1-1) also pitched five innings, charged with four runs on 10 hits. He struck out three and walked one.
