Brett Hayes knocked a two-run homer in a four-run first inning and the Storm Chasers held on for a 4-2 win over Round Rock Thursday night at Werner Park.

Irving Falu led off with a single and Christian Colon did likewise. A passed ball by catcher Jose Felix moved the runners up and a walk to Anthony Seratelli filled the open base. Falu and Colon were both able to score on a sac fly by Ben Broussard and subsequent throwing error by left fielder Joey Butler. Hayes' 11th home run of the year made it 4-0.

Jared Hoying got the Express on the board in the fifth with a home run. Yangervis Solarte's RBI single scored Chris McGuiness in the eighth.

Brian Sanches (5-2) pitched five innings for the win, giving up one run on four hits with a pair of strikeouts and no walks. Alexi Ogando (0-1) went four innings, charged with four runs on five hits. He struck out one and walked two.

Round Rock DH Manny Ramirez went 0-for-4. The former All-Star is hitting .188 in his attempt to return to the major leagues.
