Seton Hall responded to an early Creighton goal by scoring three times en route to a 3-2 win Saturday afternoon in South Orange, New Jersey.
Sophomore Timo Pitter connected on a cross from freshman Fabian Herbers in the third minute to give Creighton (7-6-2, 3-3-1 Big East) a 1-0 lead.
The Pirates tied it three minutes later on a goal by Samuel Geiler. Kai Greene broke the tie with an unassisted goal at the 18:19 mark. Geiler’s second goal of the game came off a penalty kick in the 33rd minute to make it 3-1.
Less than a minute later, Creighton was assisted by an own goal by SHU to make it a 3-2 game. The Pirates (7-7-2, 3-4-0 Big East) ended the match with more shot attempts, 15-14.
