According to a report from ESPN.com, Creighton will accept an offer from the Big East Conference next week.
Sources told Andy Katz that the new Big East will have 10 teams and start play for the 2013-2014 season. The Catholic 7 will add Creighton, Xavier and Bulter to play an 18-game, true round robin conference schedule.
Neither Butler, Creighton or Xavier have officially withdrawn from their conferences, but an official announcement is expected next week. The new league will officially start on July 1st.
Creighton officials are still offering no comment on the situation.
