Oklahoma City scored three times in the first two innings and held on for a 4-3 win over the Storm Chasers Sunday afternoon at Werner Park.
Enrique Hernandez led off the game with a single, was sacrificed to second by Ronald Torreyes and scored on a Domingo Santana single for a quick 1-0 lead. The RedHawks made it 3-0 an inning later on a Max Stassi double and Matt Duffy home run.
Omaha answered in the home second as Jimmy Paredes singled and stole second. Brett Eibner would single him to third. Brian Bocock followed with a base hit to score Paredes and Francisco Pena singled to load the bases. Matt Fields grounded into a double play scoring Eibner.
Oklahoma City went up 4-2 in the fourth inning on Joe Sclafani's RBI single.
Eibner doubled to lead off the seventh, took third on a wild pitch by Jake Buchanan (5-4) and came home when Pena grounded out.
Bruce Chen (0-1) took the loss, giving up four runs on 10 hits, striking out one without walking a batter over four innings.
