Moss apparently felt the time was right to step away.
Moss caught 954 passes for 14,858 yards and 153 touchdowns in a
career spent with Minnesota, Oakland, New England and Tennessee.
The 34-year-old Moss bounced around the league in his final season, getting traded from the Patriots to the Vikings last season before he was cut and signed with the Titans.
