The girls of the Omaha Hockey Club are cheering on Team USA in Sochi.
The USA is going for a fourth straight medal and the sport is growing by leaps and bounds in Nebraska and Iowa.
"In four years we have gone from one team with 12 girls to four teams and that is much much faster than I expected," said Andy Ketterson with the Omaha Hockey Club.
It's no surprise, the girls told WOWT 6 News they were hooked the first time they took the ice.
One player said, "It is fun, it is lots of memories and beating boys is a lot of fun."
Another player added, "It makes me feel like I can do that to and I can make it to the Olympics sometime."
