Undefeated Notre Dame remains at number one in the latest BCS standings released Sunday night, securing a spot in the national championship game. The Fighting Irish will play the winner of the SEC Championship Game this Saturday between No. 2 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia.
Notre Dame assured itself a trip to the national championship game in Miami on January 7th with a 22-13 victory at Southern California Saturday night.
Florida (11-1) is fourth in the standings, but with no games left, looks stuck behind their SEC rivals. The Gators could be headed for the Sugar Bowl if they pass the Alabama-Georgia loser in next week's standings. If the loser of the SEC championship falls below Florida, it could find itself out of the BCS picture altogether because the No. 3 team is guaranteed a BCS bowl bid and no more than two schools per conference can receive bids.
Nebraska is 12th in the BCS.
