History paid a visit to Omaha North High Thursday as the school's triumphant football team walked into the gym carrying the state championship trophy.
Their classmates and administrators were on hand to celebrate with them. You might remember, the team beat Westside in the championship game.
Coach Larry Martin said, "To me, we just handled adversity so well. And it's a great job by our coaches to install that in our kids and something we can give back to our community."
This was was also a proud moment for the school's principal, Gene Haynes. The team went 12-1 but he encouraged them to go 13-0 next season.
