Pete Kozma's three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth gave the Redbirds a 5-4 win over the Storm Chasers Sunday afternoon in Memphis.
Omaha had taken a 4-2 lead in the eighth after scoring three runs. Max Ramirez and David Lough singled to set up runners at first and third. Chuckie Fick replaced R. J. Swindle on the mound and committed a balk, bringing Ramirez home and sending Lough to second. He then scored on Anthony Seratelli's single. After Jamie Romak's grounder forced Seratelli out at second, Irving Falu and Derrick Robinson knocked back-to-back singles to score Romak.
The Storm Chasers had taken a 1-0 lead in the first on Clint Robinson's RBI single that drove in Derrick Robinson. The lead stood until the seventh when Cedric Hunter's two-run home run put the Redbirds ahead 2-1.
Barret Browning (1-1) got the win and Francisley Bueno (0-1) took the loss.
