Nebraska completed a weekend sweep of St. John's with a 14-7 win Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field.
The Huskers took the lead in the bottom of the first and never looked back, scoring at least one run in each of the first six innings, including eight runs in the bottom of the sixth. Austin Darby led off the first with a single and with two outs scored from third on a passed ball.
Holding a 6-1 lead, the Huskers blew the game open with eight runs on four hits in the sixth, including four runs scoring on three straight wild pitches with the bases loaded and a passed ball.
St. John's scored two in the eighth and four in the ninth.
Designated hitter Michael Pritchard slugged three doubles, driving home two and scoring twice. Chance Sinclair (3-0) went six innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out two and walking three. Joey Graziano (0-2) lasted only 2.2 innings for the Red Storm, charged with three runs on five hits.
