Nebraska Buries Gophers 8-0

Three Nebraska pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout while the offense provided them with 16 hits in an 8-0 thrashing at Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.

Aaron Bummer (2-1) tossed seven innings, giving up the three hits while striking out three and walking three. Ryan Hander and Jeff Chesnut each pitched an inning of relief.

Nebraska (23-26, 14-7 Big Ten) got to Gopher starter DJ Snelten (4-1) with three runs (all earned) on nine hits over 5.2 innings. Kash Kalkowski led the attack with a 4-for-5 day, including a home run and three singles. All nine NU starters had at least one hit while five posted at least two.

Minnesota fell to 29-18, 12-5 in the Big Ten.
