Freshman Emily Lockman tossed a two-hit shutout while the Husker offense hit three home runs in a 6-0 win over Creighton Wednesday night in Lincoln.
Lockman was in control from the start, improving to 14-3. She did not allow a runner past second base and allowed only two balls out of the infield. Lockman added seven strikeouts and she did not allow a hit over the final 4.2 innings.
Mattie Fowler got things started with a home run in the second inning. Brooke Thomason hit a home run in the the fourth before a grand slam from Courtney Breault came in the sixth.
Nebraska improved to 35-10. Becca Changstrom (19-7) took the loss for Creighton (26-13), allowing six runs on five hits in a complete-game effort.
