Nebraska Basketball Deals With Expectations

Big wins bring big stakes for Nebraska basketball.

"I think it is good for your program," Head Coach Tim Miles said. "I've been through it before at CSU. I think it is part of building a program."

The Huskers have a plan for all the new attention. Their new team motto is: "Avoid the Noise."

"It is a jolt of energy for our program in a very positive way, but it is only going to last if we can build on that momentum and win," Miles said.

Nebraska might not be on the bubble yet, but they can at least see it.

"We are at a point where we have to put a lot of wins together to get to the NCAA Tournament," Miles said. "I don't think that is an unfair statement, but that is not what I am going to put on them."

Because the Huskers want to be in the conversation longer than just mid February.

"We want to follow through and enjoy the real fruits of the labor which is the ending. We all live happily ever after if we make the NCAA Tournament and can win there," Miles said.
