Nashville Holds On For 5-4 Win Over Omaha

The Sounds jumped out to a 5-0 lead, then held on to defeat the Storm Chasers 5-4 Wednesday night in Nashville.

Hunter Morris walked to lead off the second inning and took second base on a ground out. Blake Lalli and Sean Halton walked to load the bases for Ozzie Chavez, who doubled home two runs. Blake Davis reached on a throwing error by shortstop Anthony Seratelli to score another run. Hainley Statia singled to plate Chavez to make it 4-0.

In the third, Josh Prince singled and moved to second when Lalli walked. Halton then doubled to score Prince.

Omaha got back in the game with a three-run fourth inning. Adam Moore and Chad Tracy walked. Willy Taveras singled to load the bases. Jarrod Dyson grounded into a force out at second that allowed Moore to score. Christian Colon singled in Tracy and Johnny Giavotella singled home Dyson. Colon's RBI single in the sixth scored Taveras.

Kyle Heckathorn (3-1) got the win and Justin Marks (1-6) took the loss.
