The NCAA says it is ending contractual agreements with EA Sports. This means EA’s NCAA Football 2014 will be the last edition of the popular video game featuring NCAA teams.
The move comes at a time when the NCAA is fighting a lawsuit which claims former college athletes are owed billions of dollars. The athletes say the NCAA used their likenesses to be used for free.
The NCAA says it will not enter a new contract with EA Sports because participation in the game is not in the best interest of the NCAA.
