Military Day at the 2013 U.S. Senior Open will begin at 7 a.m. on the 1st tee, with the presentation of colors by the Creighton ROTC. Immediately following, Jimmy Weber, U.S. Air Force, will perform the national anthem.

Two-time U.S. Senior Open champion, Hale Irwin and Rocco Mediate are expected to tee off for their practice round immediately following the national anthem on the 1st tee. Throughout the day, members of various military branches will announce the players teeing off on the 1st and 10th tees.

All military personnel, active and retired, along with their families are admitted free into the championship with valid identification on Tuesday, July 9th. Red, white and blue ribbons will be distributed at the Main Admission gate to distinguish military in the crowd.

The Dennis Walters Golf Show will take place at 2 p.m. on the practice range. Paralyzed from the waist down, Dennis Walters dazzles with an array of trick shots while sitting in his wheelchair. His dog, Bucky, also plays a prominent role in the Dennis Walters Golf Show, as he barks out the correct answers to Dennis’ golf trivia questions.
