Michigan defensive end Frank Clark waived his preliminary hearing Thursday on a felony charge that he took a laptop from a campus dorm room.
His next court date is September 11th in Ann Arbor.
Michigan coach Brady Hoke suspended Clark last week and his status with the team hasn't changed. Clark closed his freshman season last year with his first interception and a season-high five tackles to help the Wolverines beat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.
Hoke also suspended starting running back Fitzgerald Toussaint in July after he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
The Wolverines are scheduled to have their first practice on Monday, less than a month before playing defending champion Alabama September 1st in Arlington, Texas.
