OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha hockey team begins the new year with new rankings in the weekly college hockey polls.
The Mavericks are 15th in the latest poll from USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and 16th in the poll from USCHO.com. That's down two spots in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and four spots in the USCHO.com poll. UNO is coming off its first losing sweep of the season, dropping 5-4 and 3-1 decisions at No. 5 Quinnipiac last weekend.
Minnesota reclaimed the top spot in both polls. Notre Dame is second in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and third in the USCHO.com poll while Boston College is third in the former and second in the latter. New Hampshire is fourth followed by Quinnipiac.
