Brock Monpetit scored a goal and assisted on two others as Nebraska-Omaha beat Northern Michigan 5-2 on Friday in men's college hockey.
Montpetit had a goal and assist in the Mavericks' three-goal first period.
Matt White, Andrej Sustr and Brent Gwidt added goals for Nebraska-Omaha, which outshot the Wildcats 41-13.
Northern Michigan got 26 saves from Jared Coreau and 10 from Michael Doan. It also got goals from Darren Nowick and Reed Steckel.
Nebraska-Omaha goalie John Faulkner made 11 saves.
Nebraska-Omaha (2-1-0) is now 12-4-0 all-time against the Wildcats (2-1-0) in home games.
