The UNO men won for the third win in five days, defeating Doane 79-68 at Sapp Fieldhouse Sunday afternoon.
The game, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, was postponed due to the snowstorm.
Senior guard Mitch Albers topped the Mavericks with 22 points on 10-for-16 shooting and a pair of three-pointers, giving him 1,726 career points, 90 away from tying UNO's all-time scoring leader Dean Thompson's 1,816 points.
Alex Welhouse narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 12 points and a game-leading nine rebounds. Center John Karhoff chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block.
Doane (10-14) was led by Ty Headley, who finished 6-for-9 from behind the arc, totaling 23 points with five rebounds.
A 12-0 UNO run punctuated by back-to-back threes by Caleb Steffensmeier and Welhouse gave the Mavericks a 27-15 lead in the first half. A three from Andy Morris brought the Tigers back to within nine and five straight points from Bryan Meyer later cut it to 32-25. Nebraska Omaha led 42-29 at halftime.
The Mavs (10-15) took their largest lead in the second half, going up by 23 on a Bill Freeman layup. Doane got as close as 75-66.
