Three errors and two unearned runs cost Creighton, but helped UNO salvage the final game of their weekend series as the Mavericks won 4-2 Sunday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

Omaha's first run came via catcher's interference, nullifying an apparent inning-ending double play that would have allowed the Jays to escape a bases loaded jam. Ryan Keele hit his first home run of the season in the third inning to make it 2-0.

Creighton answered with two runs in the home third to tie the game. Jordan Makovicka singled and Ryan Fitzgerald's fly to left was lost in the sun and dropped in for a double. Kevin Lamb and Brad McKewon followed with RBI ground outs.

The Mavs took a 4-2 lead in the fourth on a walk, sacrifice, single, another walk, an error and an RBI ground out.

Tyler Fox (2-1) went six innings for the win, giving up two runs on five hits with a pair of strikeouts and a walk. Josh Bullock picked up his fourth save of the year, allowing just two hits over the final three frames.

Matt Warren (1-1) lasted only 3.1 innings, giving up three runs (two earned) with two strikeouts and two walks.

The loss dropped the Bluejays to 14-6 while the Mavs moved to 6-14.
