John Karhoff scored a career-high 28 points to lead Nebraska Omaha to a 104-88 win at Central Arkansas Saturday afternoon.

Karhoff was 10-of-13 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line to lead five players in double figures for Omaha (10-4), which shot 53 percent from the floor and 11-for-22 from three-point range.

Justin Simmons contributed 18 points, CJ Carter added 13, Marcus Tyus 11 and Alex Phillips 10.

The Mavericks jumped to an early lead with a 10-2 spurt fueled by back-to-back Carter three-pointers and took a 50-41 advantage into the break. Central Arkansas (2-8) narrowed the gap midway through the second half on a Jalen Jackson layup that made it 63-61. But Omaha responded with a 17-8 run and then continued steadily pulling away.

LaQuentin Miles led the Bears with 28 points and 16 rebounds.
