Lincoln used a four-goal barrage in the second period to coast past the Lancers 5-1 Friday night at Ralston Arena.

The Stars took a 1-0 lead 2:21 into period two when Eric Scheid connected with Dominick Shine for Shine’s ninth goal of the season. Lincoln made it 2-0 less than four minutes later on the power play when Luke Johnson blasted in his second of the year. Just over a minute later, Daniel Willett’s right point shot was redirected in by Ross Olsson for his second of the season.

The three goals scored in a span of 5:23 were the fastest three goals surrendered by the Lancers this season. Lincoln capped it off at the 14:39 mark when Scheid scored for the ninth time this year.

The Stars went up 5-0 at 4:06 of the third while having a two-man advantage on a Jake Wood goal.

The Lancers got on the board :32 later on Luca Frigo's shorthanded score, his fourth.
