The Lancers doubled their lead 4:49 into the second period when on the power play, Poolman lifted a left point wrist shot past Buccaneers' netminder Billy Christopoulos for his second of the season.

Des Moines scored on a three-on-two rush as Nolan Valleau’s put in his fourth goal of the season 9:59 into the second period.

Kyle Osterberg lifted a cross-crease pass to Lichtenwald for his third goal at 4:54 of the third period.

Cole Bruns earned his first victory of the season in goal making 17 saves.
