Alex Lyon registered a 16-save shutout and Kenny Gillespie scored the first Lancer goal in the history of the new Ralston Arena as Omaha blanked Des Moines 1-0 Sunday evening.
The Lancers broke the scoreless tie 5:51 into the third period when Gillespie cleaned up a rebound at the right side of the net for his fourth goal of the season.
The shutout was Lyon’s first of the year and fifth of his USHL career.
