Luca Frigo and Drew Melanson each had a goal and an assist while Alex Lyon made 29 saves in net as the Lancers defeated Muskegon 4-1 Sunday evening at Ralston Arena.
Omaha opened the scoring 8:14 into the first period on the power play. Dominic Racobaldo unleashed a one-timer from the high slot that slipped inside the left post for his sixth goal of the season.
It became a 2-0 game when Melanson made a centering pass atop the Muskegon goal crease that was promptly put in by Gage Hough for his ninth goal of the year at 14:56. The Lancers made it 3-0 with a power play goal from Frigo with :46 remaining in period two.
The Lumberjacks got on the scoreboard at the 16:29 mark of the third when Christian Heil lifted a pass across the goal crease that was promptly punched in by Adam Gilmour on the power play for his 18th of the year.
Melanson added an empty net goal with just :05 remaining.
