The Lancers scored a goal in each period with Grant Besse getting the game-winner with just 1:23 left in regulation for a 3-2 win over Lincoln Saturday night at Ralston Arena.
Omaha opened the scoring just over three minutes into the game when Ryan Tait centered a pass into the slot which was promptly punched in by Tyler Hynes for his fifth goal of the season. Lincoln tied it at 11:56 when Phillip Marinaccio found Riley Bourbonnais streaking down the left wing before Bourbonnais put in his team-leading 25th goal of the year.
The Lancers took a 2-1 lead at 8:54 of period two while shorthanded as Kyle Osterberg connected with Matt Gaudreau atop the Lincoln goal crease and Gaudreau redirected in his seventh of the year. The Stars again evened things up on a Paul LaDue power play goal at 12:57.
Jake Randolph found Besse atop the Lincoln crease for the winner at 18:37 of the third.
