Tri-City Storm netted a pair of third-period goals to upend the Lancers 2-1 Saturday night in Kearney.
Omaha took a 1-0 lead at 15:30 of the first period on the power play as Kyle Osterberg’s one-timer from the high slot was redirected by Connor Chatham at the top of the crease and into the back of the net.
The Storm stormed back in the third period. Ryan McMurphy’s shot from the left wing produced a rebound at the top of the crease, which was promptly put in by Tim Bonner at the 1:01 mark. Bonner would later find Garrett Gamez on the right wing for the eventual game-winning goal at 12:53.
The game marked the end of Omaha's season opening eight-game road trip. The Lancers (2-6) will play their home opener at the new Ralston Arena at 7:05 p.m. next Friday against Tri-City.
