Tony Calderone, Todd Skirving and Victor Bjorkung each had a goal and an assist as the Stampede defeated the Lancers 4-2 Saturday night at Sioux Falls in Omaha's final game of the season.
The Lancers finish the year 34-29-1 in fifth place in the Western Conference with 69 points.
Sioux Falls got goals from Bjorkung (1:43) and Calderone (1:57) in the game's opening minutes to take a quick 2-0 lead.
Omaha tied the game at 4:24 of the second when Tyler Hynes ripped in his sixth goal. Dakota Joshua won the battle for a loose puck at the side of the Lancer goal crease before converting his first USHL goal at the 6:04 mark to give the Stampede a 3-1 lead.
Ryan Tait pounced on a rebound atop the goal crease driving in his third at 15:35 of the second frame to trim the margin to 3-2.
Sioux Falls put the game away on Skirving’s 23rd goal of the season at 17:46 of the third.
