The Lancers got four goals from four different scorers and Alex Lyon made 31 saves in a 4-2 win over Fargo Friday night at Ralston Arena.
Omaha opened the scoring with a pair of goals just :42 apart in the first period. Robbie Baillargeon found Tucker Poolman at the top of the crease for his league-leading 10th power play goal of the season at 13:17. A two-on-one between Tyler Moy and Ryan Tait resulted in Tait’s second goal of the season at 13:59.
The Force got on the board at 15:45 of the first period during another Lancers' power play when Brendan Harms darted out on a breakaway before burying his 15th of the season and the Force’s league-leading 10th shorthanded goal of the year.
Fargo tied the game at 10:56 of period two when Harms scored again. Omaha regained the lead with just over three minutes left in the period as Dominic Racobaldo launched a perfect pass to Jake Randolph on the left wing who fired in his eighth of the season.
The Lancers added an insurance goal 2:20 into the third period after Tait curled off the right wing before finding Drew Melanson on the left side for Melanson’s seventh goal of the year.
