The Kansas City Chiefs have hired Romeo Crennel as their new head coach. Crennel joined the Chiefs as the defensive coordinator in 2010 after four years as the head coach in Cleveland.
He also served as head coach for the Chiefs the final three games of this season after Todd Haley was fired.
In a news release Monday morning, Chiefs Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt said, “In 30 years as a coach in the NFL, Romeo has established an outstanding track record of success, and we believe his experience and proven ability make him the best person to help us reach our goal of consistently competing for championships.”
Crennel has coached in six Super Bowls and has been a member of five teams that have won the Super Bowl.
