Both teams scored in the first inning and 1-1 it stayed until the eighth. Pat Kelly opened with a double. A sacrifice bunt by Blake Headley and a sacrifice fly by Steven Reveles put the Huskers ahead 2-1. Three straight two-out singles by Austin Darby, pinch hitter Ben Miller and Taylor Fish made it a 3-1 game.
NU starter Chance Sinclair improved to 6-1 and 3-0 in conference play while Josh Roeder picked up his ninth save of the season with a perfect ninth inning. Sinclair went 7.1 innings allowing one unearned run on six hits and two walks, striking out four.
Nebraska (28-16) improved to 10-4 in the Big Ten while the Wolverines fell to 18-24-1 and 8-9 in the Big Ten.
