Nebraska scored seven runs in the first three innings en route to a 9-2 win over Penn State Saturday afternoon at Hawks Field.

The early NU attack was aided by a quality performance on the mound from Aaron Bummer, who went 7.0 innings allowing four hits and one earned run. Despite four walks, Bummer racked up six strikeouts to improve to 5-3. The lone PSU runs came on a bases loaded walk in the fourth and a passed ball in the ninth.

Pat Kelly and Austin Darby homered for the Huskers (31-17, 12-5 Big Ten). The Nittany Lions fell to 17-25, 5-11 in conference play.
