Nebraska will host defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Miami in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge December 4th at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The game is one of 12 match--ups announced Wednesday pitting ACC and Big Ten teams.
Fourteen of the teams played in the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Hurricanes went 29-7 last season, winning both the ACC regular season and tournament titles for the first time in program history before falling to Marquette in the NCAA regional semifinals.
The Huskers were 15-18 last season. They have won three straight games against Miami, the most recent in 2006.
Notre Dame visits Iowa, Michigan visits Duke and North Carolina travels to Michigan State in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. Pitt plays host to Penn State and Syracuse is home against Indiana. N.C. State plays host to Northwestern and new coach Chris Collins, a former Duke assistant. Maryland also visits Ohio State.
Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech are the three schools from the 15-team ACC that are left out.
The Big Ten and the ACC split the 12 meetings in the 2012 Challenge. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 12 games of next season's two-day event.
