The Nebraska continued spring practice Saturday morning for just over two hours in full pads.
Head coach Bo Pelini said afterwards he didn’t particularly like the team’s mental state during the workout. “What I watched was a mentally weak football team, a bad football team, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I call what it is, got a long-long-long-long way to go.”
Saturday concluded the first full week of practice and was the Huskers’ fifth of 15 workouts. Pelini said the Huskers did do some scrimmage work Saturday.
NU will be back on the practice field Monday as the Huskers will practice three times next week before taking a week off for spring break.
