The Huskers scored five runs in the the fourth inning to rally from their first deficit of the series en route to completing a weekend sweep of Penn State 8-4 Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field. The win clinched a berth in the Big Ten Tournament.

Michael Pritchard extended his hit streak to 13 games with a two-out double in the bottom of the first and Pat Kelly followed with a single to give NU a 1-0 edge.

Penn State (17-26, 5-12 Big Ten) responded in the third with a Jim Haley two-out double to score Alex Malinsky and tie the game. The Nittany Lions took the lead in the fourth on a Tyler Kendall ground out that scored J.J. White from third. When pitcher Bob Greco (3-1) entered the game in relief of starter Kyle Kubat, he uncorked a wild pitch to extend the PSU lead to 3-1.

The Huskers (32-17, 13-5 Big Ten) battled back in the home half of the fourth when they loaded the bases with no outs, putting together five runs on three hits to take a 6-3 lead. NU drew within a run as Ryan Boldt produced a ground ball RBI to plate Steven Reveles before a walk loaded the bases once again. Pritchard matched Boldt's effort with an RBI ground out of his own to score Ben Miller to tie it up at 3-3. Kelly singled home two more runs and Blake Headley's base knock added one more.

Headley tacked on a sacrifice fly in the sixth before Jake Placzek hit a two-out double to left to plate Miller for an 8-4 lead.
