Former Northern Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller has been hired to take over at Iowa. The Hawkeyes announced Friday that Heller, a native of Eldon, will leave Indiana State after four years to replace Jack Dahm.

Heller spent 10 seasons at Northern Iowa and won 270 games before the school dropped baseball after the 2009 season. He also spent 12 years at Upper Iowa and led the Sycamores to four straight winning seasons.
