North Dakota State head football coach Craig Bohl says he's taken the program as far as he can and it's time for someone else to take over the helm of the two-time Football Championship Subdivision winners.
Bohl is expected to be hired as the next coach at Wyoming. The school has scheduled a news conference at 6 p.m. Sunday "to make a major announcement."
Bohl appeared Sunday morning on his weekly coach's show on KXJB-TV and said he planned to travel to Laramie on Sunday, adding "there is no perfect time" for a coaching change. It's not clear whether Bohl will continue to coach NDSU in the FCS playoffs. The Bison defeated Furman 38-7 on Saturday in a second-round game.
The 55-year-old Lincoln native was a Nebraska defensive back from 1977 to 1980 and a Husker assistant coach from 1995 to 2002.
